Don’t let dental anxiety prevent you from getting treatment you need! At McRae Dental, we offer various types of sedation dentistry, so you’ll be completely comfortable throughout your process, regardless of what treatment you’re receiving.
Laughing Gas
Laughing gas is a simple sedation method which comes in the form of a gas that you’ll inhale through your nose and mouth during the procedure. This gas will help alleviate anxiety and will make dental procedures seem much less daunting, even though you’re conscious for them.
Oral Conscious
If you don’t like laughing gas but are still interested in easing your dental anxiety while remaining awake for the procedure, we have the solution. Our oral conscious sedation dentistry is administered in the form of a pill that you’ll take before your procedure.
The results are similar to our laughing gas; instead of feeling nervous or anxious, this medication will help you relax while still remaining conscious. For safety reasons, you will need a ride to and from our office on the day of your procedure.
IV Sedation
We also offer IV sedation at our offices. This sedative is administered intravenously and will offer the same relaxing results as the laughing gas and our oral sedative. You will remain conscious, but you will feel comfortable during your procedure. Just as with oral conscious sedation, you will need a ride home from your appointment.
Overcome Dental Anxiety!
With three different options to choose from, we’re confident that we can help any client that might be nervous about an upcoming dental treatment.
These sedative methods won’t send you into unconsciousness but might make you relaxed enough to fall asleep. We have extensive experience in sedation dentistry in our office, and we are confident in its safety.
These options are also available for children! Because children’s breathing differs from adults, we will always hire a nurse anesthetist to administer these medications to children.
